Terms of service

Last updated: October 29, 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Laniakea Ventures LLC ("we", "us"), which runs CardTotals at cardtotals.com.

1. What CardTotals does

CardTotals reads photos of paper timecards and sign-in sheets and adds up hours, including overtime, using settings you choose. It is not payroll, tax, accounting or legal advice, and it doesn't decide which wage or overtime laws apply to you.

2. Check the results

Reading handwriting is never perfect. CardTotals highlights times it wasn't sure about and shifts with missing punches, but it can still make mistakes it didn't flag. You're responsible for checking the hours against the original cards before you use them to pay anyone or file anything.

3. Free use and subscriptions

• You can try CardTotals free for 5 photos, with no account.
• The subscription costs $9 per month (plus any applicable tax) and is billed by Stripe. It renews every month until you cancel.
• The subscription includes up to 200 photos per calendar month. The count resets on the 1st (UTC). Unused photos don't carry over.
• Cancel anytime from the link in your Stripe receipt email. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. We don't give refunds for partial months.
• If we change the price, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies to your next bill.

4. Your content

You own your photos and the hours data. You give us permission to process them, including through Cloudflare Workers AI, only to provide the service. See the privacy policy for what we keep. Only upload timecards you're allowed to handle for your business.

5. Fair use

Don't try to get around the free or monthly limits, overload the service, reverse-engineer it, or use it for anything illegal. We may suspend accounts that do.

6. No warranty

CardTotals is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for errors in hours you didn't check. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Changes and ending the service

We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. If a change matters, we'll email subscribers first. If we ever shut CardTotals down, we'll give subscribers at least 30 days' notice and stop billing.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Wyoming, USA.
